Wakankar Bharati Sanskruti Anveshan Nyas was founded by Padma Shri Dr. Vishnu Shridhar Wakankar in 1986 with the vision of preserving and promoting India's cultural, archaeological and artistic heritage.
The institution works in fields such as archaeology, ancient history, rock art research, epigraphy, numismatics and fine arts.
Through exhibitions, research work, publications, seminars and educational programs the trust continues to spread awareness about India's rich cultural legacy.
Research & Cultural Activities
Wakankar Nyas operates through two major units — Wakankar Shodh Sansthan and Bharati Kala Bhavan.
These institutions promote research in archaeology, rock art studies and Indian culture while also encouraging fine arts including painting, sculpture, music and dance.
